Creating Balance with Dark Wood Tones & Light Varied Textures
For the Biltmore Country Club in Barrington, we combined traditional design elements with modern touches to create a welcoming new look grounded in history. Dark wood tones reminiscent of the past dominate the design in the furniture, millwork, and structural ceiling beams. To balance the dark, smooth look of the wood, we added light cream and grey tones with varied textures throughout the furniture upholstery, carpet, and decor. The lighter tones include simple textured surfaces, subtle patterns, as well as more elaborate designs, all layered over one another to add a sense of movement and dimension to each space.
