Cozy Kitchen Design at Boulder Ridge Country Club Residence

Natural wood, whether for cabinets, furniture, or flooring, instantly brings a sense of warmth to any room. In our cozy kitchen design, we chose to do two-tone kitchen cabinets, some with a dark greige-colored wood paired with soft white. The effect was both a brighter space that felt more inviting.

Wood was incorporated naturally into every room with dark hardwood flooring that gives the whole space a warm base color. Other wood elements were layered into the design for greater dimension, including the dark wood shutters and trim in the study and the more golden-hued wood blinds in the living room.

In addition to the wood tones of this cozy luxury home design, we also incorporated warm, earthy colors, including rich browns, tans, and creams.

In the cozy kitchen design, soft white and brown are echoed throughout the space in the two-tone cabinets, modern cowhide stools, and mosaic backsplash. The living room embraces more soft whites and creams in the rug, furniture, and walls for a brighter look. The study sticks to darker brown tones in its cowhide rug, shutters, and trim, giving it a more contemplative, grounded feel. The dining room balances light and dark equally with its dark wood table and buffet paired with cream-colored chairs, a light patterned rug and bright abstract wall art.

In this cozy luxury home, we embraced organic and rustic textures and patterns to create a multi-dimensional design that feels intentional and inviting. 

In the cozy kitchen design, we layered several natural textures including wood grains in the cabinets, a brick and mosaic insert backsplash, and modern cowhide stools with a swirling design. The unique light fixture with its feather-like design adds dramatic character and acts as a focal point.

The soft wool rug in the living room offers a solid foundation for the space with its subtle texture. A damask-inspired pattern for the shades and drapery contrasts with the linear lines of the blinds for visual depth. The brick fireplace, patterned ottomans, and abstract artwork all add additional textured layers for an inviting look and feel. 

In the dining room, the custom sugar cane faux finish on the walls features subtle vertical lines that give the illusion of a higher ceiling. The organic, swirling shapes of the rug gently contrast the linear look of the walls while sticking to the nature-inspired theme. 

We chose animal prints in the study, including the cowhide rug and a faux finish crocodile pattern for the wainscot insets, that add unique texture and interest. The bold striped drapery creates a sense of movement with its zig-zag lines and fabric folds.
