After collaborating together nearly 20 years ago, this lovely couple contacted us to renovate their kitchen and great room. As empty nesters, their Itasca, IL residence is home base for family gatherings. To make entertaining easier, we improved traffic flow in the kitchen by replacing the L-shaped island and a small prep island with one large, rectangular unit. Now they have comfortable island seating for five and plenty of cooking and serving surface. We also opened up sight lines between the kitchen and the great room, and from the kitchen to their beautiful outdoor pool and the golf course. For the great room, we reupholstered and refinished several existing pieces while designing new custom rugs and window treatments. Our clients love entertaining more than ever now!
