At IEG, we are always open to travel. From Arizona to Colorado, Michigan and Wisconsin to Florida, my team and I have designed second homes for many of our existing Chicago-area clients. They love the results. These long-distance collaborations have become one of our specialties. We know that your vision for a second home is a bit different than for your primary residence. Yes, many people do work from their second homes, but these homes-away-from-home are geared more toward letting your hair down and having fun. They often are multi-generational destinations where you will create lasting memories with family and friends.

Your Local Designer?
Whether you are an existing or new client who has a primary home in our area, our meetings and selections can happen right here in Illinois. That makes it much easier for you and doesn’t eat up precious time at your vacation home. For new clients, we can get to know you and your design preferences right here in your local residence. With existing clients, we already know your style, lifestyle and personalities from previous projects. That makes the selection process very efficient for your second home.
How We Work
With just a few well-planned, on-site visits, and the remaining work handled in our Barrington studio, we can create the home-away-from-home that you have dreamed about. We have a network of vendors, builders and trades people lined up throughout the United States with whom we have worked before, which guarantees a beautiful result. When we need to visit your second home, we set aside as many days as needed and plan our work so we can maximize each visit. On installation days, we are on-site to ensure that all furnishings are in excellent condition and properly placed.
