IEG Featured in Quintessential Barrington

country club entry

The tasteful and welcoming mood throughout the club begins in the formal entry, above. Arm chairs replaced sofas, we refaced the fireplace with a custom blended stone, specialty painted the domed ceiling and updated the chandelier with a silver finish. Photos by Larry Malvin

Check out the latest issue of Quintessential Barrington magazine! We are featured in a five-page article entitled FromThentoWow for our redesign of BiltmoreCountryClub, a local landmark since 1926. It was truly an honor to be selected to completely renovate more than 10,000-square-feet of hospitality areas at BCC, which has been a private, family-oriented country club for 93 years. We created a timeless yet current design for the entries, dining room, bar and banquet rooms where members host weddings and other special events.

country club bar

For the all-new bar, IEG and VandeLogt Construction partnered with Lakeshore Cabinets to deepen all the wood finishes to a rich walnut. Other custom touches include the faux crocodile painted walls and stone accent walls.

The members’ response to the inviting new look has been overwhelmingly positive. New members and participation have both increased significantly. Special thanks to publisher Lisa Stamos for her insightful article detailing our design decisions, to photographers Larry Malvin and Jim Prisching for the outstanding photos and to the entire IEG team for their creativity and hard work meeting a three-month deadline. You can view more photos of the project on our website portfolio at BiltmoreCountryClub.
