Dr. Suess, the author of some of the most iconic children’s literature, drove the inspiration for this vibrantly enchanting Michigan lake home. Having amassed a collection of limited-edition works by the famed cartoonist, the homeowners were not afraid to infuse a little fun into their day-to-day. The artwork in this home was the starting point of our design process—and we were privileged to be a part of the design at the blueprints stage. Our fun-loving clients are the life of the party, and they wanted to focus on entertaining in their home as well as family time with their young adult children.

First and foremost, they wanted their home to embody a clean palette so the whimsical Dr. Seuss artwork could take the spotlight. Secondly, their wish list included a well-curated mix of durable fabrics that could withstand the wear and tear of the many friends and family who come to enjoy life on the lake.  We curated to these goals and the photos speak for themselves.  A beautiful palette that can take the lifestyle of lake living and the many parties that will happen in this home.
